Some of the affected clubs are already groaning under the heavy burden of the injuries on their players, as they go to battle for weeks without good results.

High riding Warri Wolves are in danger of losing their third spot on the log, as they battle Kaduna United today without skipper Goodluck Onamado and forward lively Ebuka Okafor, who both picked up their second bookings of the season in last week’s home game against 3SC.

Defensive midfielder Emmanuel Omodiagbe and Samson Kpenose are also not available for selection as a result of illness.

There are doubts over man of the match against 3SC, Chimezie Mba, as he may be held back by the Coach Austin Eguavoen who is preparing the U-23 team for a 2012 Olympic qualifier coming up two weeks away.

It is however mixed fortunes for Kaduna United, whose suspended striker Jude Aneke will return after missing last week’s narrow home win over Bukola Babes, while Under-23 invitees Sani Aruwa and Siman Yusuf are very unlikely to make the starting 11 after they disappointed against the rampant Bukola Babes.
