Innov8League, a platform that support problem-solvers, has opened application for its 2025 virtual global innovation competition for innovators and judges.

Miss Ololade Balikis, Media Director of Innov8League, in a statement issued in Lagos, said deadline for the application of the contestants is on 16th May, 2025, application for Judges close 20th May, 2025, while the virtual competition holds 24th and 25th May, 2025.

Balikis explained that in a world increasingly defined by rapid change and global innovators, platforms that support problem-solvers are more critical than ever.

Designed to spotlight bold ideas and amplify emerging voices, the media director noted that the competition offers a unique opportunity for innovators and industry professionals to come together to shape the future.

She invited innovators to submit solutions in a wide range of categories, including but not limited to health, education, sustainability, agriculture, financial inclusion, and digital infrastructure.

Balikis stated that the competition encourages entries that are both visionary and practical—solutions, and might had started small but have the potential to scale and create real impact.

She explained that applicants are expected to describe their innovation, its target problem, current development stage, and how it could create meaningful change, while a pitch deck or brief video is encouraged to help judges understand the concept more fully.

She said: “Unlike many traditional startups, accelerators or business plan competitions, Innov8League welcomes participation at any stage of development.

“Whether you are nurturing a new idea, refining a minimum viable product (MVP), or already in operation, the platform is open to all.

“There is no application fee, and participation is fully virtual, making it accessible to anyone around the world.

According to her, judges are drawn from a diverse set of industries and organizations, including leaders from Microsoft, EY, Amazon Web Services, Bank of America, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Balikis stated that the experts bring experience in product management, finance, social impact, agriculture, and emerging technology.

She mentioned that judging is conducted remotely through a secure platform and guided by clear evaluation criteria focused on originality, feasibility, clarity, and potential impact.

Paula Manuel, a 2024 panelist of the competition, also said that Innov8League is for the doers—the creative thinkers and community builders who are looking for a chance to be heard.

“It’s about leveling the playing field so that great ideas don’t get overlooked because they lack funding or connections,”Manuel said.
