BAL and KOL Global Concepts recently launched its remarkable fish farm located at Kwarin Ayuba Graceland, Sabon Gari LGA in Kaduna State.

The farm, owned by Barrister Ibrahim Lawal Ibrahim, also serves as a training centre for fish fingerling production at hatchery level; raising of fingerlings to table sizes; fish feed formulation and palletisation; smoking and sun-drying of fish with the capacity to accommodate 50 trainees at a time.

The remarkably large fish farm covers an expanse of 10ha, with six production ponds covering 4ha, six rearing/ nursery concrete tanks and nine fibre glass tanks, producing an average of 140tonnes of table sized fish and 100,000 fingerlings annually.

Species of fish such as mud fish, tilapia and tilapia zilli are produced in the farm.

Expansion plans are underway with construction of a feed mill currently going on and also plans to venture into poultry production.
