The Judicial Commission of Inquiry constituted by the Kogi State government to probe past administrations has been urged to investigate the N2 billion loan meant to boost Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).

The acting Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Commerce  and Industry, Onoruoyiza  Sunday Lawal, made the call in Lokoja while testifying before the Commission  over the alleged misappropriation of  the N2 billion accessed from the CBN by the immediate past administration.

Lawal, in his testimony before the Commission, alleged that the loan which was supposed to be disbursed to beneficiaries by a committee as stipulated  by the apex bank, was “shared among some political office holders.”
