His Highness, the Emir of Bichi in Kano State, Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero, the insecurity the country has declared Friday as a special prayer session day for peace to return to the country.
A statement issued by the Secretary to Bichi Emirate Council, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Yakasai, said the declaration became necessary due to the worrisome security situation in the country, adding that it calls for spiritual intervention.
The statement said the Emir received the sad news of the gruesome death of some commuters in Sokoto State last week with a heavy heart.
The statement added that the information available indicated that the bus was intercepted by bandits and was set on fire, leading to the death of 47 passengers in a very gruesome circumstance.
