Town Planners Week is annual meeting of town planners where contemporary issues in the built environment are discussed.
This year’s theme is The Role of Physical Planning in the Context of Emerging Security Challenges in Nigeria.
Dr Ade Abolurin, the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps; Dr Adamu Ahmed, of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; and Mr Yemi Omidji of the Federal Road Safety Corps are resource persons.
The 2014 Town Planners Week is to be hosted by the Urban and Regional Planning Department of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).
The Public Relations Officer of the department, Mrs Felicia Anthony said all planners in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) working in both public and private sectors are being expected at the event.
Moreso, allied professionals in the sector like architects, builders, engineers will be there.
