Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has adjusted the curfew on commercial motorcycle and tricycle operations in Minna and its environs.

According to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the new curfew hours are from 8pm to 6am, effective immediately.

Ibrahim said the adjustment follows improved security reports from the state’s security committee.

The governor assured residents that his administration remains committed to enhancing their welfare and security and will continue to review the curfew based on expert advice.

Daily Trust had reported that the governor imposed a 6pm to 6am curfew in April in response to rising cases of thuggery, robbery and phone snatching in parts of the state.
