Insecurity: Nigerians urged to pray, support govt
Igwe, who noted that there would be no meaningful development without peace, urged the government to provide an enabling environment for citizens
The Bishop of Kubwa Diocese, Methodist Church of Nigeria, The Rt Rev Chikwendu Igwe, has urged Nigerians to seek God’s intervention to end the myriad of problems facing the country.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, the bishop said Nigerians had a critical role to play in ensuring that there is peace to enhance the socio-economic development of the country.

Igwe, who noted that there would be no meaningful development without peace, urged the government to provide an enabling environment for citizens to contribute their quota in tackling insecurity. He added that leaders should live exemplary lifestyles worthy of emulation.
He cautioned against politicising the security situation in the country, while calling on the government to squarely tackle insecurity and address the socio-economic challenges confronting the people.
Speaking on the development, the chairman, Okitipupa Local Government, Mr Igbekele Akinrinwa, who addressed the people at the scene of the incident , alleged that it was an indigene of the town that facilitated the travelers trip to the town.
