The Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Examiners of Nigeria (CIFCFEN) has lamented millions of dollars spent annually for forensic experts witness from outside the country.

CIFCFEN’s President/Chairman of Council, Dr Iliyasu Gashinbaki, who said this in Abuja during the institute’s 4th Proficiency Course Graduation, Anti-Corruption Awards and Honorary Fellowship Conferment Ceremony, said the Institute was poised to stop the ugly trend which encourages experts from UK, South Africa, United States and others.

“We are coming to the fore with our expertise to fill in the gap by building capacity and raising sound professionals whose specialized skills will stop this needless capital flight that happens when the country recruits foreign forensics and fraud examiners,” he said.

Thirty graduands of the 4th proficiency course of the institute also received their certificates and tool kits at the event.
