The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) yesterday donated relief materials to Internally Displaced Person’s (IDPs) in Kuchingoro camp in Abuja.
The donation was done as part of the institute’s activities to mark the beginning of its annual conference which was held in the Federal Capital Territory.
The chairman of the institute, Edom Inoyo, said, “We started our annual conference of 2017 here in Abuja and we felt the best thing to do was to come and identify and sympathise with the IDPs.
“We pray that we would have a permanent solution to all the conflicts in this country so that all these persons who have been displaced and are looking for a permanent home can have their prayers answered,” he said.
The secretary of the IDPs’ camp, Enoch Yohannah, while receiving the relief materials from CIPM representatives, said the visit had made great impact. He said some children were malnourished due to lack of food in the camp.
He, however said the harvest season and donations from public and private organisations like CIPM had brought relief to them.
