Telecommunication and Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Babajide Olaitan Muyideen has gained recognition from Innovation Committee of the Institute of Productivity and Business Management (IPBIM).
Babajide, according to Tolulope Ijitade,Chairman,Innovation Committee of the institute said the conferment of the IPBIM International Innovation Award and his recognition as an International member of the institute follows a thorough and independent review by the IPBIM Awards and Innovation Panel, in line with the published prerequisites and evaluation framework governing international innovation recognition.
‘The panel’s assessment focused on originality of contribution, sector-wide impact, sustainability of results, and relevance to productivity advancement, all of which your work demonstrates at a high level. You are recognized as an Accomplished Telecommunications and Software Quality Assurance Engineer with over twelve (12) years of progressive professional experience, spanning optical transmission systems, national network operations, regulatory QoS compliance, and modern software testing and automation. Your career trajectory reflects sustained excellence and leadership within high-impact
engineering environments, including senior technical roles with Huawei Technologies and Emerging
Markets Telecommunication Services (9Mobile)’ Ijitade stated.
The Chairman,Innovation committee noted that these outcomes represent productivity gains at both organizational and national levels, aligning directly with IPBIM’s mission to recognize innovations that translate technical excellence into systemic performance improvement.
A central factor in the panel’s decision he said, was his development of the Telecom Readiness & Capacity Index (TRCI™️), an original and structured assessment framework designed to evaluate telecom organizational preparedness across eight critical operational, strategic, and executional dimensions.
Unlike conventional telecom performance tools that emphasize isolated technical metrics, Ijitade disclosed that TRCI™️introduces a systems-level productivity lens, measuring how infrastructure, governance, leadership, resilience planning, innovation readiness, and execution capability interact to determine real-world outcomes. By producing readiness scores, performance bands, and actionable diagnostics, the framework enables operators, regulators, and policymakers to: Identify hidden organizational constraints limiting service quality, Prioritize high-impact interventions to improve resilience and reliability, strengthen long-term competitiveness and digital infrastructure productivity as well as align telecom expansion with economic and institutional development goals.
In addition to his infrastructure-focused innovations, the committee noted his strategic expansion
into software quality assurance, automation, and cyber security, reflecting a forward-looking understanding of modern telecommunications as a software-driven, resilience-dependent ecosystem.
‘This multidisciplinary integration significantly enhances system reliability, workforce efficiency, and
long-term productivity. Your mentoring of junior engineers, contribution to preventive maintenance frameworks, and participation in professional knowledge-sharing communities further reinforce the sustained and multiplier effect of your work beyond immediate projects or employers’. Based on the evidence reviewed, the Innovation Committee unanimously affirms that your professional achievements meet and exceed the standards for the IPBIM International Innovation Award and International Membership.
