The Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) last Friday in Abuja inducted 130 certified members and 60 fellows to join the list of forensic professionals in the country to combat corruption.

While speaking during the 11th Direct Membership Graduation Ceremony and awards of Fellowship as well as the 3rd Annual General Meeting of the Institute, CIFCFIN’s President and Chairman, Governing Council, Dr. Iliyasu Gashinbaki, called for an urgent comprehensive forensic performance audit in the energy sector in order for Nigeria to experience sustainable power supply.

He said the Institute would be prepared to deploy forensic experts, who will offer free technical assistance to the federal government to conduct the audit, adding that the proposed audit would cut across financial management, operational performance, resource allocation, infrastructure management, asset integrity and value for money.
