A statement signed by the Boards’ Public Relations Officer, Yunusa Muhammad Abdullahi explained that the advice was based on the extension of deadline for the registration of pilgrims from March 31, 2018 to April 30, 2018 by NAHCON last week.
He stressed that the amount be deposited pending the announcement of total hajj package by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He further explained that registration of intending pilgrims will continue up to April 25, 2018 to enable the Board meet deadline for closure of registration and remittance of all hajj deposits to NAHCON by April 30, 2018.
He added, "The Overseer of the Board, Imam Hussaini Sulaiman Tsoho Ikara has explained that the Board has since secured a befitting accommodation for its intending pilgrims in Makkah."
About 2,200 intending pilgrims have so far registered with the Board out of 6,636 hajj seats allocated to the state by NAHCON.
