Inter need an outright win from today’s match to be crowned Serie A champions for the fifth season in succession.

The Nerazzurri have a two-point cushion over Roma, who face Chievo in Verona this weekend, and Jose Mourinho’s Inter will be under pressure to get the job done.

Anything but a win at Siena would hand the scudetto to Roma, provided the Giallorossi beat Chievo, Roma have a better head-to-head record than Inter.

The Giallorossi, who are two points behind Serie A leaders Inter with one game to play, not only need to beat Chievo in Verona, but also hope for a favour from Siena. Siena have nothing to play for except their pride when they take on Inter in Tuscany.

 “The race for the scudetto is open,” said Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso. “We will go to Siena with the determination and willingness to win this game and thus, clinch the scudetto.”

This may be the last match that Mourinho will play in the Italian Seria A, as he has set his eyes on the Spanish giant, Real Madrid come next season.
