A student of one of the NTIC branches in Abuja, who spoke on the religious harmony in the school, scored it high both in academics and morals, stating that students are accorded equal treatment irrespective of tribal or religious coloration.
“At NTIC, everybody practices his or her religion, it does not really matter whatever you worship,” Owoh Dalton, said.
Dalton, an SS3 student from the south-eastern part of the country, said the main interest of NTIC students is focusing on achieving academic success, adding that there is no segregation or discrimination among students.
Nebolisa Mahichukwu said: “Issues about religion are handled with great skill in NTIC, because the school comprises of people with different religious backgrounds. We have Christians; we have Muslims.
“NTIC academic prowess, social and moral strides and most especially their religion upkeep are qualities that can hardly be found anywhere else,” said Mahichukwu.
On her part, Rita Atolor described NTIC as a multicultural school that encouraged all its students to excel through the best teaching methods.
She said: “Personally, I have friends from different cultural backgrounds; Edo, Igbo, Yoruba and others. This is a place we meet each other, become friends and know each other better in terms of culture and beliefs.
