Speaking in Lome at the commemoration of the 53rd independence anniversary of Nigeria, he said the Nigerian government would continue to engage in the facilitation of peace and security in the region.
“Nigeria is positively interested in what happens in the sub-region and this accounts for why we will continue to assist our brothers and sisters in all areas of human endeavour.
That is why Nigeria is positively committed to the promotion of a just fair world economic order. Nigeria will not accept anarchy in any country in the sub-region or elsewhere and that is why we are involved in peacekeeping missions all over,” he said.
Adoli assured government representatives and the Nigerian community that the country was not descending, but rather making significant economic progress and strengthening democracy.
