National Chairman of the National Association of Auctioneers (NAA), Alhaji Aliyu Kiliya, made the call while inaugurating the interim caretaker committee chairman of the association in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
He was represented by the Zonal Chairman, North Central, of the association Joseph Major Mayange, at the event where he also said, “Nigeria should seize the opportunity of the growing demand for many of its vast human, natural and solid mineral resources, especially in Nasarawa State, to diversify the economy for the country’s growth and development.”
He also called on auctioneers to support the economic efforts of both public and corporate organisations for the benefit of their members respectively.
In his remarks, the Interim Caretaker Chairman of the state chapter, Yakubu Okuba Owayo Doma, pledged to steer the affairs of the association for the benefit of all members.
He solicited for the support and cooperation of members to enable him to succeed in the six months he has to run their affairs before the next election.
