Invisible Borders Trans-African Photographers Organisation is seeking African writers and illustrators to work on a children’s book project. Writers would be paid for their work and are required to send samples of their previous works.

The project, which involves a series of books for children aged between seven to 12, will focus on the histories and cultures of Africans, bringing some of the continent’s most significant, yet relatively unknown, figures and stories to the fore.

Invisible Borders is an artist-led initiative founded by Emeka Okereke and registered as a not-for-profit organisation in Nigeria. The pioneer members and participants at the first project of the Organization include Ray Daniels Okeugo, Emeka Okereke, Uche Okpa – Iroha, Amaiza Ojeikere, Uche James Iroha, Nike Adesuyi Ojeikere, Lucy Azubuike, Charles Okereke, Chriss Aghana Nwobu and Unoma Giese.

Deadline for submissions is October 9, 2017.
