The Vice-chairman and CEO of Lobi Stars, Dominic Iorfa, has called on the supporters of the club to remain calm following the 3-0 loss to 3SC in the MatchDay 23 fixture in Ibadan.
In a press statement he personally signed, the former Nigerian international said he understood the pain of the teeming fans of the club who wanted their darling team to pick the maximum points or at least share in the points.
Iorfa, who called on the players to redouble their efforts in upcoming matches, maintained his confidence that sooner than later, there will be a turnaround in the fortunes of the club.
He said the government is doing everything possible to support the club in the fight against relegation.
“I understand how you feel but I want you fans to understand also that we played against a team that desperately needed a result at home after 4 consecutive home draws.”
“We gave them two early and cheap goals in 18 minutes and we hit the post twice in the first half. If it was going to be our day, the first half would have ended two goals apiece.
Iorfa, therefore, pointed to a bright future ahead of the club as he said “None of the teams struggling with us won and by God’s grace the next four games, which we have three home games and one away will favour us and put us in a better stead.
“Continue with your support and prayers. We shall achieve our aim at the end of the season.”
