Lobi Stars had leveled an allegation of match fixing against Sunshine Stars FC of Akure in their rescheduled match at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi penultimate Thursday and the two clubs have been summoned to appear before the NFF committee on September 21 in Abuja.

Speaking to Feverpitch, the former international said he did not expect anything less than that from the football federation as he said he was not surprised by the invitation.

According to him, even when he forwarded his protest to the Nigeria Premier League, he knew that it would end with the invitation from the football federation.

Iorfa who expressed readiness to storm the hearing with overwhelming evidence against Sunshine Stars said he is fighting not for his club but for the good of Nigerian football.

He said if such criminal acts which are inimical to the game of football were allowed to go unpunished, perpetrators would continue in their nefarious activities.

Iorfa noted that he knows what amounts to match fixing and what happened to some of the top European clubs like Juventus that were caught indulging in it.

“I am so happy that we have been invited to appear before the NFF disciplinary committee. This is exactly what I expected from the committee. Even when I sent my petition to NPL, I knew it is NFF that would look into this matter.

“I have all the facts ready. I made the allegation and I am ready to prove everything thing I said with sufficient evidence. I am neither fighting for Lobi Stars nor any other club but the good of the game. If we allow such criminal acts to go unpunished, it is football that would suffer in the end.”
