Lobi Stars on 49 points face the danger of relegation, if they fall to Kano Pillars in this week 38 fixture at the Late Emmanuel Akume Atongo stadium, but the former international is talking tough as he insisted that Lobi won’t go down.
Speaking ahead of the crunchy tie, the former international told Shot! that nothing will stop his team from picking the maximum points to escape relegation on the last day.
He said Pillars are aiming to end the season on high but his team equally needs the three points to stay up and so there will be no hiding place for the ‘Mai su gida’ boys.
Iorfa said playing against Pillars is nothing new to his team as he said Lobi was able to hold Pillars to a 1-1 draw at the Sani Abacha stadium Kano in the first round.
The Vice-chairman of Lobi Stars said this week 38 fixture has generated so much interest and tension but arrangements have been concluded for a hitch free match.
“I am confident of victory over Pillars on Sunday. It is going to be a very tough match but my boys know what is at stake. It is either the three points or nothing. The boys know that they will go down if they slip so there is not going to be any compromise.
“I know Pillars are looking at the three points to enable them win the league back to back but I say they should look elsewhere. If they could not beat us in Kano, I don’t see them beating us in our home.
“It is an important match so I am calling on true fans of Lobi Stars to come out in full force to support the boys on Sunday. We have made adequate security arrangement and so we are not anticipating any ugly incident”, he said
