The incident occurred around 3pm on Wednesday following an argument between Yunusa and another person.
An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, detailed how the police initially rescued Yunusa when the mob began to attack him.

“Yunusa died at the police outpost in Nasaru and the mob took his corpse to Ningi Police Division because the police couldn’t control or prevent them,” the eyewitness said.
Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the incident.
In a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammad, condemned the actions that led to the loss of life and stressed the importance of upholding the law.
