Content of Nigerian dailies nowadays have become a boring epilogue in anti-Buhari sentiment. No nation exits misfortune on a palladium of such negative paradigm. No one is offering workable solution except the nebulous restructuring predicated on unbundling the corporate structure of the federation. What a lazy approach to problem solving.
For instance until Governor Obiano of Anambra state spoke out on how he demystified the herdsmen conundrum the decibels of the anti-Buhari foot soldiers was to hang the president and not the docile governors whose jurisdiction it is to act.
Failure of the National Assembly (NASS) to pass PIB into law continues to render the little accruable revenue from crude oil export in favour of foreign companies yet the NASS is left to fiddle whilst our Rome is in conflagration.
Members of the bench are junketing the globe in over indulged statutory vacation whilst protracted cases are left in limbo.
It does seem that the only solution in horizon is to blame Buhari and fold our hands.
The latest in this misguided stereotype is to insist on new economic team for the federal government whereas the immediate solution is to tackle the insensate activities of the Niger Delta Avengers.
Will the new economic team or the extra-terrestrial experts magically stop the NDA? Can any expert force the price of oil in international market to favour the dwindling fortunes of Nigeria?
The so called experts were always around when we wasted all accruals from oil at over $100 per barrel, they were there when refineries were dilapidating and Turn Around Maintenance funds were channelled to private pockets.
The president’s optimistic address at the Edo rally is not enough. He should quickly do a national broadcast, declare a state of emergency on economy and hold state governors to more stringent stewardship accounts. The military’s pathetic show of strength whilst militants are mutilating oil infrastructure is reprehensible.
The NASS should be more responsive and less insular regarding the affairs of the nation.
