His venomous piece captioned – “RE: INEC and Adamawa North Senatorial Poll,” is typical a poor response to an argument that is taking a national dimension. When my attention was drawn to his rejoinder, I was shocked to discover that apart from exposing his people in Mubi to the entire world as Boko Haram adherents, he equally confirmed he is a lapdog of the ruling party in the State. How on earth can he go out of his senses and allude that there in Mubi exist Boko Haram, when every other Nigerian disassociates themselves from such a group?
In his futile attempt to wriggle out the Adamawa REC from the problems, Mr. Sajoh lampooned and called me all sorts of name. That I should not have written that he (REC) spoke to any newspaper or gave a press statement. Sajoh’s defence of the REC presupposes that he knows people behind the perceived false story as he claimed or he is being economical with the truth or both. But where was he, in the first instance, when these papers came out churning these stories? Why did he decline writing rejoinders against The Nation, Leadership and Daily Trust newspapers who broke those stories on Adamawa REC before my reaction?
The late MKO Abiola said that “a thousand bastards can never be equal to one legitimate child”. In the light of this, one million Sajohs cannot be compared with one legitimate son or daughter of Mubi Chiefdom.
Mr Sajoh warned me not to jump the gun in believing he (REC) had spoken to any newspaper or issued a press statement that the Adamawa Senatorial district is inconclusive. He further went on to say “for those of us in Mubi who witnessed the Boko Haram type of ablutions and pouring of petrol on the body to act as suicide bombers, we already know the truth even before the REC report”. Wonderful that is Ahmad Sajoh in his elements for you.
By these remarks, Mr. Sajoh has just given us an update on the fact that the much dreaded sect, Boko Haram, has spread their tentacles to Mubi in Adamawa State. To any discerning mind, only dogs and their breeds can bark and spew up nonsense like the one demonstrated by Sajoh. A dog will bark at anything, even its bitch of a mother. It is not certain if Mr. Sajoh has an immediate constituency, otherwise he would not have made reference to his fellow Mubi people as Boko Haram adherents, inferring that his people are terrorists. His statement is unfortunate. The authorities of Mubi Chiefdom ought to know this.
We now know better the real reasons the REC was quoted as saying “some thugs hijacked the NASS election process and forced poll officials to announce an inconclusive election results”. So the prayer of Sajoh and his co-travellers at the Election Tribunal in Yola is to cancel the House of Representatives election won by Buhari’s CPC and rig in the PDP government candidate who woefully crashed at the last election and who incidentally is Sajoh’s elder brother, using those terrorists he referred to as Boko Haram? No way. The people have spoken through the ballot box, and so their bid to raise the ante of falsehood to cling to power against popular choice will be met with the brick wall.
Unlike the belief of the Sajohs of this world, I do not need to know personalities before defending their cause. Whatever Ahmad Sajoh would like to say, I do not need to know or have intimate knowledge of the CPC House of Representatives member in his constituency, just like I neither knew nor ever seen the Adamawa REC and even Sajoh himself. But we are communicating on the pages of newspaper on issues that border on contemporary happenings.
I am a dispassionate examiner of public issues, fastidious, if that explains it better. Praise singing like the one in which Ahmad Sajoh specializes, gives me goose flesh and diarrhea. It is not surprising that Sajoh willingly took up this dirty job assigned to him. For inferring that “Mubi people had witnessed the Boko Haram type of ablutions and pouring of petrol on the body to act as suicide bombers” for a pot of meal in the wake of NASS election in the area, is to run his mouth riot or bark himself silly against the entire Mubi-emirate council.
