Isa Kaita College awards degrees

The commencement of degree programmes at the Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsinma in affiliation with the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) is a stepping stone towards the transformation of the college to a university of education.

The Provost, Dr Maigari Abdu, made the remarks at the maiden matriculation exercise of the first batch of 330 undergraduates.

 He asked the pioneer students to study hard and avoid examination malpractice, drug abuse and other vices.

The Vice-Chancellor of ABU, Professor Ibrahim Garba, said it was the goal of ABU and its affiliates to produce students with great capacity not only for receiving knowledge but also creating knowledge.

The newly introduced degree programmess at the college are Bachelor of Science Education in Biology, Chemistry, Physical and Health Education, Computer Science, Agricultural Education, Integrated Science as well as Bachelor of Arts Education in Islamic Studies and Hausa.
