Islamic academy graduates 26 in Edo

Daarah Abaraar Islamic Academy, Benin City, Edo state, has graduated 26 students who had completed the recitation and interpretation of the Holy Ouran. 

Speaking during the ceremony, the proprietor of the academy.

Imam Sanny Alhassan Umar, said the academy was established to breed God-fearing children who understand the true picture of Islam. 

“Our aim is to inculcate the knowledge of Islam in children so that they can read the Quran, understand and interpret it on their own”  

“We believe that if the children understand the Quran, nobody can deceive them into doing ungodly things and we would sure of having peace in this country in the nearest future” 

“Since 1994, as an Imam in Lagos, I have  been educating and teaching students about Islam and I said if I can inculcate Islamic knowledge in the children in Lagos, then why can’t I do same in my state.  So I decided to open Islamic academy in Benin to breed up godly children and inculcate Islam in them”. 

He advised Nigerians to live a Godly life, saying  it is  only when one is Godly that he or she can see the kingdom of God in respective of your religion. 

Imam  Sanny urged the graduating students to put the knowledge acquired into practice, adding that acquiring knowledge is not enough but will only translate into fulfillment  when you put it into practice.
