Former Amir of the Muslim Student Society of Nigeria (MSSN), ABU chapter, Malam Rabiu Barao Bal, made this call as guest speaker while delivering a lecture on the topic “knowledge the bedrock” at a function organised by  the MSSN, Ahmadu Bello University chapter as part of their programme for their annual jihad week.
He explained that what makes a person a knowledgeable human being is the ability to acquire knowledge and impact it on other people.
“Your ability to acquire knowledge and teach others makes you a knowledgeable human being,” he said.
The former amir also stressed that acquiring Islamic knowledge and putting it into practice increases one’s faith and ability to answer spiritual questions, adding that one should expect God’s examination on whatever kind of knowledge one possesses.
Also speaking, former Amir of MSSN ABU chapter 2012 academic session, Malam Mahmud Mohammed, said Muslims should acquire knowledge that will help them bring positive change to the society. The event attracted former leaders of the association (Amirs) that graduated from ABU, Zaria and question and answer session.
