Islamic arts exhibition opens today

‘Seed of Peace: The Sower and the Envoy,’ an Islamic art exhibition opens today  at the National Museum Gallery, Onikan, Lagos.
It is a solo exposition of over 40 works of Ridwan Oshinowo, an artist under the Halal Art Grallemeo, and is supported by Ibeji Foundation and the Forum for Islamic Welfare and Education.
Works in calligraphy and other decorative patterns in painting will treat various themes including houses of worships, people, and places.
Dr. Wale Babalakin, SAN, Managing Director of Bi-Courtney Ltd, will chair the opening ceremony, while His Eminence, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad, is Royal Father of the day.
The week-long exhibition will close with an inter-faith gathering to engage speakers and audience, Muslims and Christians and other concerned faithful on how to achieve peaceful co-existence among different religions.
