An Islamic women group, Sisters of Jannah Kano zone has donated 150 school bags and other study materials to 150 pupils of Tukuntawa Special Primary School in Kano Municipal local government area of the state.

Handing over the materials to the management of the school, the state Coordinator of the group, Malama Rukayat Olabisi Olawale said the platform was formed through social media where women with like minds decided to extend their union beyond social networking by rendering assistance to the less privileged in the society.

Rukayat said the group had observed that pupils in most public schools lacked basic study materials, hence the decision to donate the materials.
