The Ambassador, who was invited to the state by the government to explore its investments opportunities and tourism potentials, was also the special guest of honour on the occasion of “Celebrating Israel in Bayelsa” organized by a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Israel Today.
In a statement by Tony Obiechina, senior media and political officer in the Israeli embassy presenting the certificate of indigeneship to Ambassador Palti at the Government House, Yenagoa, the governor commended the envoy for the wonderful work he has been doing to deepen the diplomatic relations between the two countries.Governor Dickson however urged the ambassador to encourage more Israeli businessmen to come and invest in the state which he described as “one of the safest and emerging investment and tourism destinations in Nigeria”. The Ambassador had earlier invited the governor to visit Israel, an invitation the governor accepted and promised to do so with a high-powered business delegation.
