He stated this when CMD was providing information and communications technology (ICT) training to ministers and IT personnel of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries.

The in-plant workshop on ICT and church growth for senior ministers and IT personnel of the church was held at the church’s prayer city, Lagos-Ibadan express road.

Usman said, “Communication is key to achieving result in any field of endeavour. Modern networking technology has enhanced the ability to communicate and provide people access to information.”

He said, “ICT has been used extensively by organisations like the church, to improve operational efficiency and achieve corporate objectives,” adding that “with the ubiquity of the internet, communication within the church can be better harnessed.”

Some of the aspects the personnel were schooled in at the workshop include: identifying requirements for installing internet and its administration; describing the OSI seven layer model and recognising its importance; describing the principles of data transmission; evaluating LAN and WAN technologies, choosing protocols and standards; using Windows Media Encoder to stream and cast programmes of the church; identifying the available options in setting up an internet connection and setting up a PC in a both wired and wireless network.
