The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has given Daniel Dung Gwom, a car and a 3D printer as winner of the recent Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) national award in leather works.

The award winner who is from Jos the Plateau State capital where ITF has its headquarters was honoured with the printer after he was earlier celebrated with a car prize in Abuja at a celebration hosted by Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

The Director General of the Fund, Joseph Ari, at the second ceremony said the will continue to support youth empowerment, businesses and skills acquisition so the people can be self-reliant as there are no available white-collar jobs as expected any longer.

He said, “The young man that clinched this award is Daniel Dung Gwom, who runs Jmofs Enterprises, here in Jos. On our part to further encourage him, aside from the car that was given to him by the Vice President Osinbajo for winning the award, the ITF will present him with a powerful 3D printer to enhance his work. He is with us today.”

In his remarks, the award winner, Gwom thanked the DG for the youth empowerment initiatives and skills acquisition drive.

He promised to do his best and extend his entrepreneurial abilities and skills to other youths as a way of complimenting the gestures of ITF.

Gwom specializes in the production of shoes and other leather related materials.
