The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has refuted reports making the rounds that there are plans to relocate its headquarters from Jos, the Plateau State capital.

According to the Fund, the report is false and the rumour is unfounded as there is no such plan, and the headquarters remains in Jos.

Recall that on Thursday, the Plateau State House of Assembly, during a plenary session, opposed a purported plan to relocate the ITF headquarters from Jos.

The House proceeding was presided over by Speaker Naanlong Daniel, upon which they unanimously rejected such plan, saying it will not only strip Plateau State of a major federal presence but also undermine the state’s economic activities linked to the institution, lead to loss of jobs and the attendant opportunities for citizens of the state.

The alarm that preceded the resolution of the house on Thursday was due to a matter of urgent public importance raised by Theodore Bala Maiyaki, representing Quan-Pan South constituency.
