ITF trains 150 doctors, nurses of St Gerard’s hospital

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Thot Joseph Dogo who declared the training opened said the training was necessary and timely; noting that it was part of measures to boost the capacities of the participants as well as improve on their health care service delivery.
Dr. Thot who was represented by Pharmacist John Magaji from the Ministry of Health emphasised the importance of training and re-training of health workers; saying it will keep them informed about modern health challenges and modern ways of tackling them.
While he commended the hospital for its services and for its collaboration with the state government during periods of crisis; he assured of government’s readiness to assist the hospital to further improve on its services to humanity.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the Director General of ITF, Dr. Juliet C. Onaeko had described the training as the beginning of a journey to excellence in the health sector; stating that the hospital industry occupies a vantage position in the development of any nation.
