Nigerian youths have been charged to utilize their strength to agitate for the deliverance of the country from its current situation. 

Chief Wole Olanipekun, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) gave the charge while delivering the 13 Convocation lecture of Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State on Wednesday. 

Olanipekun charged the new graduate to buckle up and be ready to face the reality as they move into the labour market at a critical period when the world is recovering from the coronavirus pandemic. 

Olanipekun said the Nigerian youths hold the scalpel that would midwife the birth of the real Nigeria. 

He urged youths to remain focused and avoid being used by politicians in the forthcoming elections. 

Olanipekun also said, “Youths must persist in discipline, diligence and capacity development to wipe the slate clean and begin to rewrite a fresh story for the country.

“Our political elites are already counting down to 2023, and you cannot afford to be ignorant of their devices. Do not settle for tokenist or symbolic gestures in the name of youth participation in politics. 

He further said the ‘Not Too Young to Run Act 2018’ may appear to have opened the door for more of you to engage in the political process but the odds are still stacked against you.
