Fans of the Made Men Music Group recording artiste who spoke to Weekend Magazine are excited about the move and eagerly look forward to its release.
One of such fans, 26-year-old student, Obehi Inegbedion, said: “I have had a big crush on Iyanya from the very first time I heard his voice. When I saw him, it tripled. I am very happy about this new phase in his career and feel a little jealous in advance if he has to act any love scenes. Nevertheless, I wish him good success.”
Another fan, 43-year-old administrative assistant, Rahman Rafiu, said: “Iyanya is a very good musician and dancer. I hope his acting is just as good and he sustains it and not just makes a one off. Many of us who admire him have big expectations of his acting. Hopefully, he won’t let us down.”
Iyanya had in 2013, made a cameo appearance as himself in the television series ‘Shuga’ in its third series.
