A press release issued by Ahmed M. Zungeru, publicity secretary, FCT branch of the organization said the occasion which will be held at the Eagle Square, Abuja, has Vice President Arch Muhammadu Namadi Sambo as special guest of honour, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, as chairman and the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Kyari Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, as royal father while former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the chief donor.
It said the Izala group, with its headquarters in Jos, plans to build a School for Higher Islamic Studies and Tahfizul Qur’an in Kaduna, a Juma’at mosque in Ibadan, Oyo State, another school in Atibobo in Ghana and others in Bauchi and Kano states to boost the acquisition of Islamic education.
The group will also purchase five vehicles for preaching activities, the release said.
