Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation has provided some educational support materials to internally displaced children in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The Director General of the foundation, Ambassador Adamu Babangida Ibrahim, said the four IDP camps in the FCT that received the education support were Area One, Gudu, Shamaki and Gongola.

Ambassador Ibrahim, who was represented by Imam Abdullahi Shuaib, the Executive Secretary of Jaiz Zakat and Waqf, listed the donated items to include sets of hijab, school uniform, reading materials, including Islamic books as well as cash for school fees and teachers’ allowance.

He said the items were provided after the foundation visited the camps to carry out needs assessment. This, he said, was to ensure that what is given is actually useful to the displaced communities.

He therefore reiterated the foundation’s continued support to the displaced communities until they return to their comfort zones.

The FCT Minister Muhammad Musa Bello, represented by Alhaji Ahmad Isa Ramy, expressed gratitude to Jaiz Foundation for taking the giant step toward improving the education of the displaced children.
