Jalingo Dansoja team debuts in 2022 Yola polo festival

One of the biggest revelations of the just concluded 2022 Yola Polo Tournament was undoubtedly the grand debut of the Jalingo Polo Club whose flag bearers, Dansoja Farms polo team, won the toss during the weeklong festival and smiled home with the Wali Adamawa Cup Runners-up prize.

Since that groundbreaking debut of the first ever polo team from Taraba State to participate in the glamorous national polo tour, Polo the king of games and the game of kings has taken over the become the most attractive sports  grand entry in Benue State.

The Jalingo contingent came, saw, and stole the admiration of polo buffs as one of the major highlights of the tournament. Led by Leader of Delegation, ASP Keffas Sallah and their Captain, Filimila Samuel Maisalatin   was warmly received by host Yola and the Nigerian polo family.

Maisalatin, who led the attack against Jos Malco Energy and Minna Profile teams during their campaigns for M.C Tahir Cup, says plans to established Jalingo polo club which started some years back, has now received the backing of the government of the state government and the support of the sports loving Taraba people.

The club  that has over twenty members, (playing and non-plying has an  executive  Committee headed by   Honourable Dantanimu Soja who is the President of the club, Alhaji Muneer Adamu ( Secretary) and Coach/Player, ASP Kefas who is the Treasurer of the new club.
