The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results of the 2026 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday by its spokesman, Fabian Benjamin.

JAMB advised candidates who participated in the mop-up examination to check their results through the board’s approved result-checking channels.

According to the board, candidates will be able to print their results for admission purposes before the end of the week.

“Candidates who participated in the examination can check their results through the Board’s established result-checking channels,” the statement said.

It added that following the completion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the board would begin the process of ranking candidates.

“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates.

“Thereafter, the printing of results for admission purposes is expected to begin before the weekend,” the statement added.

The 2026 UTME was conducted across about 966 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide between April 16 and 23.

However, technical issues experienced at some centres prevented a number of candidates from taking the examination during the main exercise.

To accommodate the affected candidates and others who were unable to sit the examination, JAMB scheduled a mop-up examination, which was held on June 13.

The board expressed appreciation to candidates and other stakeholders for their cooperation throughout the conduct of the examination and the subsequent mop-up exercise.

“JAMB appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of all candidates and stakeholders throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up exercise,” the statement said.

The board had earlier stated that the mop-up examination would be the final opportunity for candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME.
