JAMB releases UTME results today

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), yesterday said the results of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), would be released today.

The Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, dropped the hint yesterday shortly after parading one of the board’s officials, Adamu Musa, who was involved in an admission scam.

“We are not hiding anything. We are doing internal scrutiny. Anyone involved will be punished. We are having a meeting now so we can have the details ready. We are releasing the results tomorrow (today),” he said.

Reacting, Mr. Musa who works with the board’s Information Technology Services (ITS) unit, agreed that he collected N25, 000 from one Bakare AbdulQadri Damilola to obtain admission for his sister who applied to study for an undergraduate nursing programme at the University of Ilorin last year.

He said he returned N10, 000 to Damilola when the university could not accept his sister.
