Japan donates N20m medical equipment to Suleja hospital

The Government of Japan has donated  medical equipment worth  over 20 million  to Suleja General Hospital , Niger State under the Japanese Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
The project tagged; “Procurement of Medical Equipment for Suleja General Hospital” was implemented with the support of a local NGO, Nigerian Women Empowerment Network.
Items donated included nine kinds of  medical equipment, 12 medical tools and 13 kinds of furniture.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Sadanobu Kusaoke, said the gesture was to enable the hospital render quality healthcare services as well as strengthen the diplomatic relation with Nigeria.
He expressed confidence that the project would contribute to reduction in child and maternal mortality in Suleja and neighbouring communities and also help the populace to lead a healthier and more productive life.
