Speaking during the press conference held at the media conference hall of the Teslim Balogun stadium on Friday, Coach Yutaka Ikeuchi of Japan stressed that they are in Nigeria to lift the trophy as he added that he has the players who are capable of achieving the goal at the close of the tournament.
He however rated the Brazilian team as their biggest threat.
“We are focusing on every match. We are going to play in our group with other teams, and we will not relent in our efforts to win so that out ambition of winning the trophy will not be jeopardized at the end.
Similarly, Coach Jose Luis Gonzalez China of Mexico hinted on the threat of the Samba boys but stated that his mission in Nigeria is to set the record straight by winning the cup, adding that the group is open and expressed confidence that his team would scale through the group stage and eventually win the event.
