The ceremony was kept simple and not publicised because Mr Gyang wanted it as low-keyed as possible. ‘It was a quiet ceremony. I didn’t want to make any noise about it,” he tells NET.
Jos’tified’ Jeremiah seemed to be in full readiness to serve his fans with that overdue album initially scheduled to be released earlier this year. The exchanged wedding vows seemingly has returned the happiness and motivation the death of his mother and mentor took away from him as he spoke to us on the phone with utmost determination of a comeback – even though he refused to welcome the idea of relocating to Lagos.
‘I’ve been busy with my wedding preparations and other things. I’m dropping the album soon. I’m ready now’, he assured.
After his groundbreaking ‘Na Ba Ka’ debut album in 2004, the name Jeremiah Gyang instantly became a household brand as the title track turned to the favourites of OAPs and was jammed consistently on early morning TV and radio shows in Lagos.
Soon, the volume of his music was turned down; no singles, no album, nothing came from Jeremiah’s headquarter (Jos) – until he wooed Asa into recording another soul-elevating song ‘Love song’ which brought him back into our memories.
While his fans are still waiting impatiently for more soul-enriching music from ‘Jerry G’ as fondly called, he’s working round-the-clock in the studio, crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s to ensure a volcanic musical return.
