Jingir condemned the perpetrators of the mayhem and described their action as “unIslamic and unacceptable. Rather than condemning western education, the Boko Haram people should have propagated it.”   

“The Boko Haram sect does not in any way represent Islamic teachings because the Holy Prophet   Muhammad (PBUH) commanded every Muslim to seek for knowledge without limitation. Certainly, they were not fighting for Islam because Islam places great importance on acquiring knowledge”.   

Jingir said JIBWIS had gone far in its plans to establish an Islamic university in Jos, Plateau State.   “We are in the process of setting up an Islamic University in Plateau. We have already identified a vast plot of land in Jos, the state capital where we are hoping to site the university; it would provide holistic Islamic and western education to its students.   

He said it was only by establishing formidable academic institutions that youth would be trained in line with good tenets devoid of “deception and misconceptions.”   

“The university will further widen our horizon in terms of establishing educational institutes in Nigeria, as we already have a number of nurseries, primary and secondary schools where we combine both western and Islamic education,’’ he said.
