Jigawa earmarks over N13bn for road construction

Speaking to Sunday Trust yesterday in Dutse, Sintili explained that, the N13, 275, 620.50 was set aside for the construction of Kafin—Hausa-Ruba-Sabon Sara-Bulangu road, Gada-Farun Daba-Dandi road, Tsamiya-Yalwan Damai, Iggi- Jiboga-Birnin Kudu road and Sarawa-Gurgun Daho road.

Other affected roads to be rehabilitated includes asphalt concrete overlay of Gumel-Sule Tankarkar-Babura road and Gidan Lage-Kanya Babba road.

The commissioner further that, the construction of four affected roads stood at N4.4bn, N1.9bn, N396m, N3.7bn, N1.9bn and N873m respectively, adding that, the contracts were awarded to four reputable companies.

The companies he said were Triacta Construction Company, ALREN Construction Company, Philko Limited, CGC Nigeria Limited, H&M Nigeria Limited and Gerawa Global Engineering Limited respectively.

Alhaji Sintili further stated that the contacts would be completed within the period of 16 months, 12 months, 3 months, 16 months, 12 months and 6 months respectively.

He however, appealed to the construction companies to ensure quality works and complete the contract at the stipulated time agreed upon in the contract agreements.
