Kanti gave the warning while addressing the intending pilgrims in the Hajj camp along airport road, Kano, saying there would be no sacred cows in respect of this order. “No pilgrim, whatever his position in Nigeria will be allowed to carry more than fifty kilogram’s luggage,” he said.

He noted that pilgrims going to the Holy land should have it in mind that they would be going there to perform an act of worship but not as an economic tour where they would park merchandise.

He stated that carrying more than fifty kilograms of luggage was responsible for the inability of the airlines to bring back home pilgrims together with their luggage.

The National Amiru Hajj further warned pregnant women to exercise patience and postpone the trip for their own good, saying the Saudi Arabian authority had pledge to deport back home any pregnant women caught in the Holy land.

Explaining the order of returning home after the Hajj, Kanti said they had arranged that the first to go to the Holy land would be the first to come back home after the Hajj.

He said on this order his team would have zero tolerance, as it would not allow any person to tamper with the arrangement.

He therefore urged the intending pilgrims to abide by the order and to be good ambassadors of the country while in the Holy land, saying disobeying the order would not be condoned in any way.
