The Ameerul Hajj for Jigawa State and Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sunusi, has announced that all pilgrims from the state participating in the 2026 Hajj are expected to return home by next Saturday following the completion of the pilgrimage.

He disclosed this during a visit to accommodations housing Jigawa pilgrims in Makkah on Saturday night.

The visit was aimed at congratulating the pilgrims on the successful completion of the Hajj rites and appreciating them for their conduct throughout the exercise.

The Emir commended the pilgrims for their discipline, patience and adherence to the rules guiding the Hajj operation, urging them to comply with airline baggage regulations as arrangements for their return journey continue.

He advised pilgrims against exceeding the approved luggage limits of 23 kilograms for checked baggage and eight kilograms for hand luggage to avoid losses and inconvenience at the airport.

Congratulating the pilgrims on successfully fulfilling one of the five pillars of Islam, he urged them to continue praying for peace, unity, prosperity and good leadership in Jigawa State and Nigeria.
