Jigawa sponsors 210 students to study medicine in Sudan

Jigawa is sponsoring 210 students to study medicine in Sudan to help bridge existing gaps in health workforce.

Jigawa deputy governor Umar Namadi announced the sponsorship during a visit by the president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mustapha Isah, in Dutse.

The students upon graduation are expected to work in their various localities for a stipulated time.

”The state government plans to deploy at least one medical doctor to each health facility in all the rural communities,” he said.
