The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has released N3 billion for the construction of two faculties at the Jigawa State-owned Sule Lamido University (SLU) Kafin-Hausa.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Lawan Sani Taura, who disclosed this in an interaction with journalists, added that the fund was released sequel to the effort of Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.
He explained that the two faculties under construction were those of Agriculture and Computer and Information Technology, adding that when completed they would enable the institution to provide admission to students into the two new courses.
Taura noted that the governor was also pursuing the construction of the Centre of Excellence in the university from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), adding that the state government has approved funds for the construction of staff school for the university in the 2021 budget starting with the Nursery and Primary section.
